11 May 2021

Kondaneft, a production enterprise of Rosneft, has introduced an unmanned aerial complex to monitor the industrial infrastructure at its fields consistently. The aerial vehicles are capable to operate at temperatures from -45°C up to +45°C, the wind velocity up to 15 metres per second and the height of more than 300 metres, to stay in the air for up to 7 hours and move at the speed of 130 kmph.

Accident-free operation of production facilities is one of the priorities of the Rosneft-2022 strategy and a key objective for the Company in all areas of operation. As one of the leaders of the global energy industry, Rosneft Oil Company supports advanced initiatives of the global community and introduces technologies related to the protection and preservation of the environment.

The aerial vehicles are equipped with complexes of high-resolution video recording, thermal cameras and laser designators for working at night conditions.

The introduction of unmanned technologies allows Kondaneft to enhance the security of the industrial sites in hard-to-reach areas.
